Anne and Paul had a great idea - a blog! Now we can post pictures of what the kids are up to, what our house looks like and generally what's going on here in New York. That said, nothing much is going on. Avery can take two or three steps by herself, so now she cruises between the furniture and her toys. She also says several words like more, done, up, daddy, mama, books, down, go, bumblebee (really!) and juice. She like to play peek-a-boo and chase the ball. She and our new puppy, Misha, think they are siblings. The spend a lot of time "kissing" each other and fighting for the same toy. Misha usually wins because she's stronger and willing to bite. Avery cries louder, though.
Aiden has new rules now that he's three. They include: three books at bedtime, three minutes in time-out, three animals to sleep with, three kisses in the morning and three of anything else he can think of. He also has chores now - keeping his room clean and setting the table for dinner. He told me this morning that his party on Saturday was so fun that he was going to do it again today...
One last thing - today Felix is 34. Watch out! We're grilling shrimp and asparagus for supper tonight, and maybe he'll have leftover birthday cake from Aiden's party for dessert. He's not really thrilled about getting older, but who is?
I'll try to post some pictures later today or tomorrow!
